TARGET GROUPS

VET STUDENTS WITH FEWER OPPORTUNITIES WITH A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON GIRLS (16+-21):

One of the main group who have been severely affected and which is the ultimate target of the project is: – vulnerable VET students, with limited access and participation in distance learning – students with low academic attainment (second chance schools, early school leavers) – students with low socio-economic background (marginalised, fewer opportunities, isolated, with migrant backgroun etc.) – students with low interest, self-esteem or motivation to be engaged in traditional types of methodologies who can be now challenged to participate

The needs of the above target groups will be met through the SMART INNOVATORS project as the students will: – be provided with experiential, interactive and hands-on learning approaches supported in and out of the classroom, based on the creation of MAKERSPACES -utilise the non- working school time aiming to acquire skills to support their learning attainment and prevent them from leaving the school early – motivate, challenge and empower them with new skills
